Event Details

On 16th July, 2011, the Apocalypse comes to Manchester. For real.

The world is ending and nobody is going to save you. You'll have to be your own hero.

There are different force out there, scattered around the city, hidden in its secret spaces. Some are friendly, some are hostile, but they all possess or are searching for the vital pieces of information you will need to gather in order to survive.

Join Larkin' About for an interactive narative composed of pervasive gaming events, happenings and interactive performance, all over the city centre.

Maybe, just maybe, we can all save the world.

The final day...
12pm Event desk opens at Nexus Art Cafe, for directions click here.  All players must register themselves as a team here before you commence playing.  If you don't have a team, you are welcome to play as an individual, or we will put you in a team when you get to the desk.  From the desk teams will receive their first instruction.
1pm Teams can start playing anytime from 1pm and before 5pm though we recommend you leave as much time as possible in order to complete the game.
From 5pm until 8pm the penultimate chapter The Last Supper will take place.  This is a communal supper in a top secret location.  This in entirely optional and costs £3.  A vegetarian optional will be available and a licensed bar will be open.  Please note that this event is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible.
9pm The final chapter The End will take place.
9.30pm Close

The event spans the entire city centre and requires participants to move between events on foot.  Those with small children and limited mobility are most welcome, though we recommend you leave plenty of time and that you ally yourself with team members who will too navigate the day at a more leisurely pace.  Our stewards will do everything they can to assist you.  If you get tired we recommend you drop into Nexus Art Cafe for a break, and remember you can kick back at The Last Supper.  Every chapter is wheelchair accessible apart from The Last Supper.
